OMG! OMG! OMG! I received the soaps today. After an hour of sniffing & thoroughly getting intoxicated trying to decide which one to try first. I finally decided to try Scents - Blackjack's Bar. I was so taken with your story. I'm a cat lover (actually an animal lover), but especially kitty cats. The packaging is great, you get to see your soap & the labeling is so wonderful. I cut off some of the bar so that I didn't waste any in the shower. OMG! After draining my hot water tank, I finally climbed out of the shower. What a wonderful bar of soap. Lots & lots of lather and so moisterizing. I was in heaven! The swirl is fantastic Scents....when I grow up I want to make swirls like that. The scent blend is amazing! I absolutely love it!

Thank you - Thank you - Thank you.

This is an amazing experience for me to try everyone's soaps since I don't sell my soaps, it was great to get all the packaging ideas. I will have to drum up something for my Christmas gifts to family and friends. Thanks all for letting this newbie join this swap!

Thank you so much for getting us started Magic!

SpottedCat: I'm glad you got your soap! Thank you for the kind comments on Black Jack's soap. Yes, those cats do rule us, don't they? Tonight I drew JessyV's Chamomile and & Anise Soap, and had a relaxing bath. My skin is still saying YES, YES, YES. Such a creamy soap and pleasant fragrance. Love it. Can't wait for the weekend, lots of time for showers and baths. :D

That tutorial & your packaging is marvelous, you are very creative. Well done! I haven't had a chance to try the salt bar, I'm waiting until I have a whole hour to myself to enjoy it! I've never made a salt bar & am so glad you made these for the soap swap. I'm in love with the Fragrance combination. It does smell just like a lemon drop.

Redfishgirl, Thanks for sharing. Your soap and packaging are great. Speaking of great, last night brought forth Heavenly Scent's Gypsy Rose. Heavenly is the right word. The scent lingered as I was drifting off and greeted me this morning as I entered the bathroom. The lather is gentle and felt very silky on my skin. The combination of oils could soothe the tenderest of skin. I really am enjoying this one. Thank you, Heavenly.

I just got out of a long bath with Vinca Leaf's Hot Mojave. That soap rocks. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the scent. What FO did you use? It's nice and light but has staying power. It has plenty of slip but had a great lather too! I like how it is crinkle cut on one side and smooth on the other. Your wrap was just perfect. Awesome. Thanks so much :)

Jessy I just got out of the shower using your soap! I loved it! I didn't even have to use moisterizer after the shower. I love that it was all natural (meaning no color) How did you get it not to turn brown using tea? You are a magician. All mine using tea turn brown. Anyway, thanks for the soap, it's wonderful & my water bill this month is going to be horrendous!!!!

Did the Lemon Poppyseed...so uplifting and scrubby! :D

The spellbound woods....what a lovely, lovely scent! So romantic! Love the bubbles!

Lavender & Amber...um, I think I fell in love with myself in the shower. I did not want to get out, and everything was already clean!

*********

I will give more technical reviews later. Right now I'm just desperate to try all of them, and really can't give a thorough review! :D

Just got out of a shower with kbn's lemon poppy seed. Very scrubby! I'm normally not a big fan of exfoliants, but last week got a bad sunburn and have been peeling. (YUCK) This scrubby bar was just the trick to get off that peely skin on my back. I love citrus scents too, so my bathroom smells great! Nice job!

I had some wonderful bathing times yesterday. I went to a hot yoga class, so deserved to try 2 bars of soap after. First up ws kbn's Lemon Poppy Seed bar. Yummy. It was like my own personal massage and just the perfect feeling after a workout. The lemon litsea blend brings back memories of a favorite soap I was able to get when I was young (a long time ago) Lemon-shaped soaps from the Vermont Country store that I was sad to see disappear. I just love the aroma. A wonderful blend of natural ingredients that my skin really enjoyed. After the bath, I turned on the shower. Yes, DH knows I've lost it, but am having fun at the same time. Pamper Pantry's Mint Forest is positively wonderful. Another aroma that's good enough to eat, and the lather had a nice cooling effect that I more than welcomed. Was there color added? The green shade is perfect. Last night drew Spotted Cat's Spellbound Woods. What a luscious fragrance. It was another of those tender, before bedtime experiences, that left a pleasant lingering scent. I keep washing my hands to keep it going. The lather was creamy. Maybe from the Mango butter? I've never used it before. I liked the color, so much so that the bar knew just where to go in my bathroom. Image I'm not sure if there's a pic there or not. But it's perfect at the bathroom sink. I've also been meaning to post Blackjack's blend, since some of you were curious. I used 9 Star Anise, 2 Patchouli, 2 Green Tea FO, 1 Bergamot and 1 Litsea. All were essential oils except for the Green Tea. For a 2# batch, I used 1.5 oz. Can't wait for tonight's bath. :)

You guys are awesome! Thanks for the thorough reviews. I'm usually not a huge scrubby bar person, but just had to try it this once, and the lemon seemed to be calling out for poppy seeds for some reason.

So far I've used the redfishingirl's lemondrop salt bar, gorgeous! Your salt bar is beautiful, when I've tried salt they crumble when I cut them, yours is flawless. The lather is yummy and the scent so refreshing. My skin felt nice and smooth when I got out of the shower. I find myself looking for reasons to shower/wash my hands these days :D.
