Those look cool. . .did you use the clock technique and then swirled clockwise. I did one too but mine looks pretty traditional. Will post in a minute. Didn't have much in the way of colorant so excuse the au naturale look.

I used the funnel method. I tried the clockwise method, but mine turn out looking like blobs

As you can see, mine are blobby too. Thought about trying funnel. Found these chopstick holders at a 99 cent store, but what did you use to hold the funnel?

Lisa I love your soaps! Very pretty! I didn't use the chopstick thingy. I had hubby drill a hole in the bottom of one of those ziplock or glad plastic food containers (the cheap ones) He drilled about 1/2 hole in the bottom, I put that on my log mold and stuck the funnel in the hole and poured it that way. Does that make sense, if not, let me know and I'll set it up and have him take a picture of it. much easier than the chopstick thingy. I tried that and had soap all over the place, lol.

THAT IS INGENIOUS!!! Now I can't wait to try that! And I love your soaps too!

Last night, I tried a late night soap that didn't come out as planned but I know what to do next time (which knowing me will be duplicating it tonight because I hate when things don't turn out).

Made a batch of coconut milk soap using only olive and coconut and added 1 T honey at trace, 2 tbl ground oatmeal and Kai fragrance. Took a little bit of the thinly traced soap with a colorant, put it in a baggy and cut off one end, and made lines down it and then used a knife to drag it down so it looked like a napolean. Looked so good. Then I screwed it up by letting the saran wrap hit the design and poof, all yucky. So no saran wrap next time. Threw it in fridge overnight and still couldnt unmold today (but this one will probably take a couple of days before it lets loose). Also, I didn't use my log mold but used a tupperware drawer organizer so it was shallow and wide instead. So now you try it!!

Thanks Bramble, and Lisa that sounds like the way to go. I'll have to get a tupperware drawer organizer and try that.

SpottedCat: Your swirls are terrific. I love the circles against the crinkle cutter lines. I've just been holding measuring cups above the mold and pouring random designs, then swirling with a chopstick. Today it was red, green and white with Christmas Forest scent. Johnsonlisa, I love your pink. Is that a clay? I'd love to try a pale pink shade, but can't decide what to use as a colorant. Nice swirls. I never would have thought of a Tupperware drawer organizer. Good idea.

OOOOOOoooo! What are pink clay scents? I did use Morrocan Red Clay (about 1/2 oz) for the red part. But the scent ROCKED! I used cranberry citrus with the red swirl and a lemon sage with the beige swirl (which wouldn't have been beige except I didn't know not to use all the hibiscus tea with the lye cause it turns orange.) Spotted cat, what are pink clay scents?
