Teach Soap

Hi Everyone,

How many of you list the ingredients on wedding favors?

I'll be making 200 soap wedding favors next month, and I know that at least half of them will be taken home by the guests. I would hate to know that someone could be allergic to one of the ingredients in the soap.

As for any wedding or party favors, is it standard or required to list the ingredients on each favor?

I'm trying to keep in mind the FDA laws, the guests receiving the favors, as well as, the look of private label.

Your help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

It's called CYA. List your ingredients on EVERYTHING!!! That way you are covered. It might be a pain, but it's worth it in the end...(this from a woman who lists ingredients on gift baskets for teachers, friends, raffles, and sat up all night labeling thirty gazillion lip balms one time!)

You could do a blanket label sheet with repeated ingredients, cut them out or hire a young one, fold it in half and make it an attachment. Was that clear.

I started getting desperate with my last little gathering, so I got a bunch of plain Q cards, pinked the edges, made some colored tea dropped a couple of drops of scent in the tea and tie dyed the cards, they all came out with their own little design. Then I slapped on the preeprinted plain typed ingredient stickers in clear onto the pretty paper, fold, hole punch and ribbon, done. You can make the paper work in what ever size, or shape you want with the pinking sheers.

The wedding favors I'm making will have hang tags, so I'll include the ingredients on the back of the tag...if I can fit the list on the tiny space. If not, I'll make sure the ingredient list is included.
