Teach Soap

Hi, I'm new at M&P soaps but i did a couple of CP batch.
I just wanted to try after I saw soap queen tv, I'm a huge fan.

so i want to know :

1) How long M&P last before it gets rancid
2) May I add cocoa in M&P soap, (not cocoa butter but cocoa powder), I already did in cp as suggested in a recipe at thesage.com I did a smaller batch and recalculate the lye the result was really nice but it kinda stain my bath towel but it doesn't matter if you use a puff

That was going to be my warning to you - I've used cocoa in M&P (as a colorant) but it was messy and it did stain the washcloth.

For quality MP soap base, that's been properly sealed or packaged, I would say use it up within 6 months.

wow is that it?? i woulda thought it woulda lasted longer .... what do yall do with stores , do you have to date the soaps and pull inventory?? man that could get expensive!!

I put little "Use By" stickers on the back of all my soaps.
