I don't get it: it has a very very low FP, but nothing about whether or not this will survive CP soap.

Any ideas?

Please let me know how it turns out. I tried a blend of Island Coconut with Lemongrass EO. Although the discoloration isn't my favorite, the blend is curing quite alright. No doubt this combo would do great in M&P.

Anyone else try this? Now that I see just how low the flash point is (91!) I'm hesitant to try. I also don't see a lot of CP products listed on Etsy with this FO.

You should be fine if you don't gel, so the fragrance will not dissipate in the heat.

It's awesome in CP if I remember correctly. I'm the one that did all the testing and approving. Loses a little bit of its sweetness but is otherwise fab.

And, I'm so psyched that you posted your question because we totally had the Celcius temp in the 'low flashpoint' warning. The actual flashpoint is 196 F so it's still too low to ship via Priority Mail but not so low to mean it requires massive hoops to soap with.

Thanks for catching that. =)

I just sliced up by batch of coconut lemongrass! Now, bear in mind this is only my third attempt at cp soap, I'm still a newbie! But here are my thoughts. It worked very well, did not accelerate trace, and does not appear to discolor (so far). It smells nice but I would like it to be stronger. I followed the 1/2 oz per pound of oils rule, plus rounding up for a little extra. I used 0.75 oz Coconut Lemgrass FO to 19.5 oz oils. Is this typically enough fragrance oil? Thanks!

Some citrus based fragrances need 1 oz. PPO. Give it some time. Sometimes the fragrance comes back in full force after the cure.

Agreed! I made a coconut lemon grass custom blend (don't ask me how, I forgot to take notes *doh*) but the CP batch smelled too coconutty at first. Now, at almost 4 weeks the lemongrass is coming back with a vengeance! I will be testing out this bar later in the week.

OH!!!! I got my Coconut Lemongrass FO earlier today. Holy Cow! That stuff is wicked! I almost ate the bottle cap when I sniffed it. Bravo, Bramble Berry! :)
