Teach Soap

When using citrus scents or other light scents, I use litsea and sometimes Patchouli to anchor the scents..... but in some of my other soaps that I make, the scent / EOs that I add smell really really good, but after drying off from my shower, the scent does not seem to linger on my skin. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Let me see if I can make this make sense... I have that same problem, but when one of my family members gets out of the shower it is almost overpowering on them. I think its like being around pigs for a really long time (for lack of a better example), eventually you just don't smell it anymore, but its there. Though, it could be that your scent is infact too light, in that case I would just suggest that you add more EO. I'm surprised at how fragrant my citrus soaps are, even when I use ancient EO's.

I have also heard that having a higher superfat % helps with 'lingering fragrance' because the excess oils cling to your skin.
So in addition to adding more essential oils, I would increase my superfat amount.

Your nose gets accustomed to the scent, so you don't smell it anymore, but others will. Just my 2 cents.
