I have made coffee soap for 9 years with used grounds - it really works much better! The grounds are still scrubbie but soft enough to not rip your skin off!
Also, in M&P it is better to add things to the base when it is cooler and it can suspend things better.
( I worked at a Coffee Mill in Hawaii and had lots of coffee to experiment with.)

Another note about Coffee Soap - if you are making CP soap, use the brewed coffee as your water with the lye. (The swamp-gas smell will go away in the finished soaps!) Coffee is said to be good for your skin.
