Hello all,

I am new to soap making. I have made soap for a total of two days so far. Once a week. I have been buying my melt and pour goats milk from michaels. Just to try out. I had attempted to make toppings for day 2 and was unsuccessful. Is it because i am using MP Soap that is why it doesnt work? If there are any special technicques please do share.
Also my soap turns out to be really brittle they tend to crack after a few uses and doesnt really lather well. Is there anything that i am doing wrong?

Please let me know or if someone has a good lather/hard soap recipe. Please share.

The cracking is from the Michael's base. It's really isn't good quality. It also doesn't lather well.
Why don't you try Anne-Marie's base? I use it and love it!

I havent tried it because it was spare of the moment and just wanted to try. I will be placing an order in a few days. Probably a big order :)

You definitely won't go wrong with ordering from Anne-Marie. The few times I have strayed from her, I got totally messed with. Her soap base is making me famous all up and down the river where I live!!
