Teach Soap

Hi everyone!

I am going to browse through the board to see if my answer is already here somewhere, but I recently saw the bath bomb cupcakes and I'm in love - I'm so eager to add these to my production list! I just started working with the bath bombs, but I haven't experimented with the whipped soap topping at all. Has anyone had luck with this (although with the talent that's around here, I'm sure you have!) and can you give me any helpful advice?

I have never had one break during shipping. I have some made up here now and I can't break the frosting off.

FBB works too. I also did FBB and melted soap base together but you have to work fast with it.

my guess is that you subbed the fbb for the sls? if so, how much fbb did you use?

When I did the frosting with FBB I only used FBB and Sweet Almond Oil. The frosting does not get hard, I only make those for local sales.

I also made them with melted soap base and FBB in a 2:1 ratio. Just add the melted soap to the FBB, add an ounce of two of glycerin and some fragrance and coloring, whip and pipe onto the cupcakes. It gets hard after about 48 hours.

Yeah, the FBB makes a really easy and pretty frosting but does not get hard enough to ship. It is totally smooshable!
Mixing it with MP sounds good, great idea!

Hey Guys!

I've been reading the forum for the past couple months and finally started making things myself. I tried making these cupcakes, and I put them in the microwave (one of the few safe places from my curious cats!) over night to sit and harden. Well... they GREW! They turned into one giant cupcake (with the silicone mold on the bottom). I had gotten the individual cupcake silicone cups from Joanne Fabrics. I used the directions on the tutorial, but do you think I put too much witch hazel into the mixture?
