insurance - which one would you use?

hi guys,

i'm having a hard time choosing between IBN and the soaper's guild for my insurance.

which one would you choose and why? IBN's insurance is almost $100 less than the soaper's guild. i don't want $$ to be the only deciding factor if possible..

I think if you do less than 5,000. worth of business a year you could go with RLI. They just quoted me 148.00 .

Since I've never bought business insurance before has anyone heard anything bad about RLI ? Im ready to send them a check. My insurance co. ( cars and house) Erie, quoted me over $400.00 . I know alot of soap venders who don't carry insurance but (What if? ) It's not worth loseing my house and a ton of lawyer fees.

The only bad thing that I know about them is you are limited to $5,000.00 a year for sales. If you sell more than that then you are no longer covered. For someone starting out I think they are hard to beat. A good starter plan.

thanks Bruce, Then they will be a good fit for me right now. It amounts to 12.00 and change a month. Thats wonderful.

mmm, but i dont think they offer product liablitly. as far as i can see. it seems they only offer general business liability. not sure if i like that...

On second thought that is a very good point! I need product insurance more that anything. I'll call RLI tomorrow and talk to them. Im glad I've not mailed my check yet. When I talked to them on the phone they seemed to understand what I wanted. But if we had a miscomunication now is the time to find out............

I just got off the phone with RLI they said my policy will cover both product and business liability. that just what I need.
