I'm going to make a loaf soap with some bright neon retro colors (i.e. bright yellow, lime green, hot pink, etc - 5 layers) to match a card my friend is designing (it's a great stamp bus by A Muse Stamps called "the love bus" and the sentiment with it is "Have a groovy day" - we are going to share a booth at our kids school carnival and sell our wares. Any thoughts on a fragrance you might suggest? I've already sent away for a bunch of sniffy samples from BB and am just waiting to receive them. In the meantime I thought I would throw this question out there and get some feedback/reaction.

I'll post a picture of the card and soap when we're ready.

Thanks for your input
Hilary

Hilary,

Your soap sounds like a lot of fun! What came to my mind when I was reading your description is the Rise & Shine FO from BB. It is citrus-y, bright and fresh - If I had to describe it in colors, I would use the bright ones you described.

Maybe a lime, coconut blend would be good too. Can't wait to see pictures!

Jan

I like PamperPantry's ideas.... I think most anything citrus or fruity would work good with those colors. =)

:D BB's Rise & Shine or Yuzu would be nice. Also, Tropical Vacation may be fitting. I looooove Tropical Vacation and it has great staying power.

Thanks all for your input - I really appreciate it. In fact I think of my 20 sniffy samples I sent away for a BB - Rise and Shine and Tropical Vacation where in the bunch. Now I just am waiting 'patiently' for those samples to be delivered.

I received my sniffy samples (most of them - I think as I actually forgot how many I sent). More importantly I did get the Tropical Vacation and Rise and Shine. I think you were all spot on. So now it's time to order!! and then decide. Although I suppose nothing is stopping me from making two loafs one of each fragrance and see the response at the fair. I'll keep you posted with that picture and sample card within the next two weeks after I get the fragrances and make it. Thanks all.
