I have used a combination of two FOs, ginger & pink grapefruit. It seemed to be dissipating from my CP soap, just after a few days. I thought FOs would stick to CP soap, am I wrong? Do I need to add an anchor such as; litsea? If so, how much would I add to 2.1oz of citrus FO for a 3lb batch?

Most any citrus, including grapefruit is notorious for fading. It happens whether it's FO or EO. You need an anchor like Litsea, Vetiver or Patchouli. For 2.1 ozs. of a blend, I would add 0.1 to 0.2 of an anchor.

How exactly do anchors work? And do you smell the anchor? Is it a chemical thing, where the light scent bonds to the strong (anchor) scent?
