Yes, the colors do bleed, but the white, black, and metallic designs won't. Here's a picture of a soap design I made that did not bleed (design is from Fancy Flours):

Here it is:

It was really cool originally: top soap layer is was bright white, and the transfer was very bright yellow.

Soapylove, I suspected that the white ones are a safe bet

So, any kind of metallic too?

I am yet to play with mine.

It's definitely a bummer when the cool design bleeds/fades/vanishes! They are food colorants, so it makes sense, though.

I have used gold and it stayed perfect, so did the white. I tried red, and you can imagine what happened!

I'll be teaching this technique at The Nova Studio in August. It might be part of an all day melt and pour class - 6 hours of glycerin glee!

thanks for asking, but no, the only place that can sell it before it's actually printed is Amazon. After that I will be selling copies and many other retailers as well - even Bramble Berry, Michael's, Borders, and Barnes & Noble (at least that's what my publisher tells me!
