the format of the page view is very confusing...any way to get it back?

every signature says 'teach soap'

is everyone seeing what I'm seeing? you want a screen shot?

WHOA - it is really BRIGHT! The background is a bit much on the eyes! But, I will get used to it, I suppose!

It looks like the Signature is defaulting to "Teach Soap" if the individual user does not have a signature on file. Gotta go update mine now!

It is pretty and fun. But very hard to look at. I used to leave the forum open a lot to browse at my leisure, now I find myself reading quickly & then closing the forum.

When you have such domineering background, and a white reading space in the middle, your eyes by default will be drawn to right and left (where background is peaking from behind the white), making it next to impossible to focus on the middle, much less on the reading.

Toning the background to pastel, or light ash violet would make the forum readable.

Any chance of toning the colors just a little? Me eyes are old and it makes it harder to read.

I'm going to keep the forum look the same for another 12 days and if the brighter colors continue to rankle or irritate, I'll work on toning it down.

I like how we write on a white background and read on it. I think having a black'on'white font helps to make everything more readable (similar to our MS Outlook setups) but I definitely can see Erin's (adorable bath cakes, by the way!) point about the eyes getting drawn from left to right and back rather than focusing down the middle.

Let's check back in with eachother in a few weeks and see how we're feeling about the change - if we've gotten used to it or still have some issues with it - and work on keeping everyone's forum experience as high and positive as possible.

I will continue to participate in the forum no matter what, but I agree, a soft pastel background would be MUCH easier on the eyes!
