Teach Soap

Tried my first batch on bath bombs, and I failed.... BADLY.

SO my formula consisted of one part citric acid to two parts baking soda, pretty normal.. expect I only had 1/2 of baking soda, so I used that and still used 1/2 citric acid. They smell awesome, but I noticed they were a little more wet then they probably should've been, and they feel kinda sticky? Has this happened to anyone else? I figured I would take them out of the molds as thats the directions on a DIY site, and they ended up expanding and becoming bigger circles ( I used cupcake trays)... So I put the whole mix back in the bowl and added more epsom salt and citric acid and it helped a tiny but not really.. still feels kinda sticky.

What did you use for the liquid? Alcohol? Witch hazel? It sounds like you have too much liquid in there. The consistency should be like barely damp sand. Also, if it's humid where you are, the humidity can start them off.

Changed my formula, my liquids are and were essential oil, water, food coloring and coconut oil

I added the water slowly and finally got the right texture I needed but there still falling apart very easy, I'm also going to buy better syebbut before I did that I wanted to make this is something I want to do
