Teach Soap

I just unmolded my first try at CP. I had to use what was available locally here in Belize, we have plenty of cheap coconut oil and olive oil is available in the stores but palm oil is sadly absent so I substituted that with lard to make the bar harder. The ratio was 40% olive, 40% lard, 20% coconut. I only made a small bar with no fragrances or colours, I really just wanted to see what the soap would turn out like and it looks pretty awesome for a first try.

So now I have it curing and I am wondering if the hot and humid climate that we get here will change the cure time or even affect the curing process?

Humidity can lengthen the curing process because the water is unable to evaporate. Some soapmakers that live in humid climates use a dehumidifier.
