Hello everyone, I have a question about the cure time for certain soaps. I know castile soap requires 4- 6 months to fully cure which I find extremely hard to wait for, so I am wondering what is the basic cure time for soap.. if there is any. As I am sure you can tell I am new at cp soap making and am not really looking forward to waiting an extreme amount of time for my first soap to cure. I have a recipe consists of 15% olive oil 50% coconut oil 25% shea butter and 10% avocado oil, can anyone tell me the approximate cure time for this soap? Also if anyone has any suggestions on oils that provide a shorter cure time would be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you :)

Regular handmade soap 4-6 weeks. Besides the water evaporating to create a harder bar, the pH of the soap changes slightly to make for a milder soap.
Castile is the exception. I cure mine for 6-8 months.
