Hello All,

I am new to the soap forum and am truly excited to be on here. I need help. =D I started making soap last April and for the love of soap I cannot for some reason prevent the gel phase in my goats milk soaps. I do not like the circle it leaves. I read almost every article on how to prevent the circle. :D I know you can put the soap in the oven but only when using water. I read you cannot do this with milk. The last time I made goats milk soap, I made sure that my milk was frozen and my oils cool. I stuck the soap in the freezer and took it out within 24 hours and noticed that the gel was in the middle of the soap. What am I doing wrong? HELP!

I soap with milk at about 110 degrees (US) My soaps go in the fridge or the freezer up to overnight. For me, this helps prevent gel.
Plastic or silicone molds seem to work better with this. Wooden molds tend to trap in heat.
