I've always read, and so I've always tried, heating up the oils until they clarify at about 115 fahrenheit.

What happens to the soap if I just warm the oils until they're liquid and not necessarily clarified? I'm making about 40 bars at a time.

The recipe I'm trying is:
Coconut 76 degrees
Palm Oil
Pomace
Castor
Goat milk powder
maybe a scent
maybe a color

Thanks so much!

All your oils are a liquid at room temp. You can soap at room temp and lye at room temp. Or you can heat up your oils slightly and add the lye at about the same temp.
OR :)
Room temp oils and very hot lye.

When you use Goat's milk powder in a recipe you don't want the oils too hot or it will burn the milk. I suggest soaping at around 90 to 95 degrees. Like you said, just enough to make the oils liquid but not hot enough to burn the milk.
