Teach Soap

I am constantly tweaking, creating, developing, changing, adding to my "recipes" and keeping them on file for potential future use like a mad chemist -- swapping out oils, butters, lard, tallow, etc. to get to numbers I like. Do you guys do this too or maybe it's just because I'm pretty new to soaping. I am thinking I am not alone!

I used to do it too when I started. Now I am too lazy I found my favorite recipe and only change fragrances and colorants

When I started, there were no lye calculators or the internet. I did all the calculations by hand. I have one main recipe that doesn't get changed for my regular bars.

I have a entire, really huge notebook of all the recipes I played with when I was first starting out. I loved them all, for various reasons, and I was sure I needed them all. You know, the lemongrass HAS to be this recipe, abut the patch HAS to be that one.

I doubt I will throw away that notebook anytime soon, but now I make one recipe for everything. Life is simpler and easier.
