I have a recipe which is formulated for the 10" silicone loaf mold which will hold 50oz and I'd like to use my tall skinny mold which will hold 60oz? For the loaf mold recipe I'm using 11.3 oz palm, 11.3 coconut, 1.7 castor and 17.6 olive and I need to increase my oils and water for the additional 10oz. What is this equation that I forgot from my 7th grade math class? Thanks

I always go by percentages and use the lye calculator on Bramble Berry. It's so easy that way. All you need to do is tell it what percentage your oils and butters are, then tell it your superfat, and finally how much your oils and fats will weigh. If it's toouch, just adjust the recipe. It does all the work for you.

Basic rule of thumb to determine the amount of oils: length x width x depth x 0.4 = weight of oil in ounces
The amount of oils + lye water = volume of mold (60 ounces)

The calculator worked like it is supposed to!-- I thought that I was going to have to do some God awful math and it couldn't have been any easier
