Has anyone used store bought coconut and olive oils oppose to soap suppliers on line? Is there any differences and would it be ok to buy them at the grocery store? Should I be looking for anything specific when doing this?

Yes you can purchase olive oil or coconut from the grocery store to make soap with. Just make sure it's a true olive oil with nothing else added.

Olive Oil can be a tricky one to get from a grocery store. Sadly a lot of them are adulterated or have been sitting on the shelf for a while. We did a post on soaps made with olive oil from different stores. There is mention in the article of a few stores we have used Olive Oil from that soaps great.

The added cost of shipping a heavy item like oils deters me from getting my oils from suppliers . But I am a small sellers . I would buy the better olive oil from a grocery store and the saving on shipping would cover the extra cost of a better quality oil .

I get what you mean. I have to think about convenience as well. I knew that a certain supplier had a "today only" sale on certain oils, but I bought them from Bramble Berry because I thought it was just too hard to not be able to melt them in the microwave. I love that about coconut and especially palm oil from Bramble Berry.
