Teach Soap

Hello, everyone! Boy, it's been awhile since I've been to the forums (or even crafted soap, honestly), what with graduations, health issues, & college visits! I hope everyone here is well!

My question today is this: Can I add shredded CP soap to my MP soap base without incident, as long as I've let the base cool to, say, 110 or so? I have a couple of "rogue" bars from a batch of CP soap that I made; I say "rogue" because they're not as pretty as the others. My plan is to shred them up, and since I don't have a whole lot of time right now to make more CP soap, I thought I might add the shreds to a BB MP base.

I would wait some before adding the shreds to your MP soap. CP soap looses water over time, which could create small holes in your MP soap.

Thanks, Irena! This is soap that I made in Feb, so it's pretty well cured (well, as far as the length of time post-normal cure time) - just a couple of bars I didn't see fit to present for customers. (Or are you saying to wait more after it's shredded?) But it *can* be done? (That's what I was asking initially.) Thanks a bunch!
