Teach Soap

Good morning,

I tried the mantra swirl yesterday. Soap was nice at medium trace. I poured one side and the other with the divider solidly in place. Poured beautifully. Removed the divider. Inserted chopstick in one corner (all the way to the bottom) and did the "S" zigzag from one end to the other, as I have seen in the tutorials. The top looked like all the soaps using this swirl look. Today, I cut the soap and it is two colours, side by side but no swirls... Lovely soap but no swirls.

The colours were red and orange oxide. Maybe too close in colour palette?

How did you cut the bars? Straight up and down into bars from a loaf shape? If so, you won't see a ton of swirl. You might be able to see a few wisps of swirl in the bars, but mostly not much. These types of swirls benefit more from cutting horizontally to showcase the swirls.

I guess I will have to try again, says me gleefully! Another opportunity to make soap.
