Teach Soap

Hi all, i've been lurking the forum for quite a while and finally decided to drop in and say G'Day.
I've been soaping for a few months now and love every bit of it. I'm not sure if I have a fav process though,
I have so many questions and can't think of a single solitary one right now lol.

About me: I live in sunny Queensland, Northside of Brisbane on a couple of acres, we raise and also rescue various breeds of goats. I am a mum of one teenage daughter who has been recently helping me to design and fill soaping and Gift Basket orders.
I own and operate a small business from home named "Galavanting Gifts" which our goatie girls supply our milk for.
We also have two Maremma girls (Livestock guardian dogs) one Staffador (Staffy x Labrador) who adopted us a few years back, a three legged cat, five chooks, 10 ducks and a beautiful little two week old bottle baby goat named Dumpling (her mum had complecations during birth so we've taken over the feeding and raising). And thats about it right now.

I was so impressed with the artistic talent on this forum I figured I better start asking questions somewhere and here is the place to find the answers, I guess I better start remembering them first lol. Looking forward to getting to know you all. Blessings, Donna.

Thanks Vinca, I must say, I don't feel so blessed at the moment it's after midnight and i'm rehabilitating a sick goat every hour on the hour lol but hey at least I have some good reading here, I cannot believe how much info is here and how clever everyone is.

Thanks for the welcome i'm itching to start posting but I think my all nighter rehabilitating the goat exhausted me and my brain is dysfunctioning so I will get my questions on some paper and ask away....I think my 16 year old has been bitten by the soaping bug lol. I will post very soon though.

It sounds like you need some more acreage, and, also, welcome to Teach Soap.

Hello Donna, I know what you mean, the talent here is amazing. I wanted to stop in and tell you if I can ever get them posted, I have one of my earliest M&P's I made with a theme called the Goat Story, I sold the soap with a scroll of my little goats life, and everyone loved the soap and his story.

Oh my goat!!!! Ginger, I would love to see it. A few nights ago I was thinking about a new m&p soap and naming it after our old herd queen "Gumboot Mama" and attaching a small pic of her to the soap label.
She was black at the front with a white band around her belly that had lots of little black dots on it and then her back half was black again, so I wanted to make a similar soap to her colouring. Please if you get the chance to post I would LOVE to see . I think people like Goat milk soap that has a personal touch, when I make my cp gm soap people like knowing the milk came from our girls.
