As many of you have heard, I'm working on a book just for melt and pour soap tutorials. It will have 25 projects and 12 "variations" where you use the same steps to get a different look.

Right now I'm making all of the variations and remaking some of the original ones I created at the publisher's studio in August (they took all pics as I made the soaps). Here's one I made yesterday called the Skyline Bar. It's made in a loaf pan, face down, so you cut up the long bar into several rectangles.

Don't worry - I the one in the book doesn't have those annoying specks in the sky! That's undissolved ultramarine powder. Oops!

Re: how much time it takes - practically none compared to your gorgeous painted soaps!!

Looking at the pics, I just realized I need to trim off my edges so they're nice and square. It would look a lot neater that way. Hm.

I've been very busy for the past few months with the holiday season, starting wholesaling, and the list just goes on and on but I always have to pop back in to see the amazing creations and I'm always blown away.
