I'd like to add another essential oil soap to the list.

Are any of these scents either easier or more difficult to work with at all (cold process)?

Is any a particularly better seller? Bay Rum, Vetiver, or Frankincense Myrrh?

Thanks!

Just to make sure you know, these are all fragrance oils (not essential oils) :D as far as the ones we carry at Bramble Berry goes the Bay Rum http://www.brambleberry.com/Bay-Rum-Fra ... P4489.aspx discolors to a light tan and may accelerate trace. The vetyver has no issues http://www.brambleberry.com/Vetyver-Typ ... P3868.aspx, the Frankincense and Myrrh discolors to a tan http://www.brambleberry.com/Frankincens ... P3864.aspx. These all have reviews on the BB site as well so you can read what other soapers think!

Are you talking about the fragrance oils or the EOs. I thought you said EOs but there is no such EO as 'Bay Rum'. That smell is chemicals from a laboratory. The latter two EOs you mentioned would not smell particularly good in soap and they are too expensive to use for CP. But maybe not M&P.

Frank and vetiver are base notes and need to be mixed w/ something generally. At least mix your frank w/ some lavender or smthng and then it might not be a total waste of your money.

Don't use EOs for soap that you can't afford to buy a 16 ounce bottle of. For a batch using 190 ounces of oils I have to to use around 8 ounces of EOs to get the smell and effect I want, so you do the math on your per-ounce cost using Frank and vetiver. Probably that is why Anne doesn't sell Frank of Vetiver EOs. Those are more for perfumers than soapers.

I like the Arabian Spice. Make it with goat's milk and has quite the following at craft sales. It'll go to very thick trace within about 10 seconds after pouring. When I use it in the shower, I can still smell it on my skin about 4 hours later.
