Hi

I want to make a soap with black stripes, I have activated charcoal, is it ok to use this as a colourant, or is it mainly used for people with oily skin?

I used a lump of untreated BBQ charcoal...ground it to powder.

What makes a cosmetic charcoal? What do they do it to make cosmetic? I have been using the charcoal in soap now for several weeks and it has a mild exfoliation, lathers well and rinses clean.
