Teach Soap

i know a guy who's dog recently started getting seizures, & the vet prescribed him a powerful narcotic but they treated him with essential oils instead & it seems to be working. No seizures, & no soaps in 3 weeks. He gets his medicine 3 or 4 times a day, in sufficient quantities to calm down his breathing. Frankincense, myrrh, vetivert, lemongrass, whatever the dog responds well to, bearing in mind the EO's active constituents.

I'm glad that it's working, but since I'm not a Licensed doctor, I would not touch this with a 10 foot pole. Too much of a liability issue.

haha i knew you guys would say that. But I thought I'd mention it for people's benefit just in case bc I've seen it with my own eyes and it's quite amazing. The only other thing we did with the dog was switch him from Wellness over to a vegetarian brand bc a meatless diet is easier on a more sedentary lifestyle, for a large active breed especially.

I find it hard to believe ANY veterinarian would recommend a vegetarian diet for a dog.

Also, am I understanding that they are just experiementing with random EOs on their dog? Poor thing.

The only other option, according to the vet, was to give him powerful narcotics x3/day until he died. It seems to be working great hitting him w/ some strong anti bacterial and anti virus EOs, plus relaxants. The soaps are there if he relapses into seizures but so far so good.

A year later the dog still hasn't gotten any more seizures. I don't have to give him EOs anymore and I don't have him on a strict vegetarian diet anymore but I really think the EOs plus the diet change saved the dog's life. If my dog ever got seizures again I'd immediately re-institute the EOs (frank, vetiver, & lemongrass in coconut oil on the dog's paws) and put the dog on a 5 day fast immediately. There is very little question in my mind the food (Wellness dog food) was poisoning him bc my Bichon had the exact same type of seizures as my German Shepherd and they were both eating the same food.

When you force a dog or any mammal to go on a fast it really cleans up the animal's guts, & digestive system where nearly all festering disease starts. It is uncomfortable as the body detoxifies but when the fast is over the body has reached a new level of vitality and cleanliness after the digestive system has been rested for a few days. The body can re-focus the energy it was using for digestion inwards towards cleaning up the toxins we all put in our body on a daily basis often w/o even realizing it.
