I just got this oil and was planning to use it this weekend. It'll be a couple weeks before any ash shows but I'll let you know.

BTW, I generally do a simple swirl on the top of my soap and when it does get ash, I just moisten a rag and randomly wipe some of the ash away, it makes a really pretty effect. :)

yeah let me know how it works for you. see i use it and it is wonderful! it smells amazing and never accelerates trace so i can swirl till my heart is content. word of advice, it does get hot, so try to soap cold. my ash usually shows up after about 24 hours.
i want to know if its the FO or the recipe i am using.

I don't get ash with my recipe. I also live in the desert with no humidity.

I have a couple soaps that developed ash, since the tops were textured, I just took a damp cloth and wiped it way on some of the peaks and valleys. It was kind of cool to make the ash work in an artistic manner.
