I liked the Art, Science, & Business of Aromatherapy very much. I cant remember who's the author (Kayla Something) but its for sale in the BB bookstore. I ordered a bunch of books from there and that was the only good one that I read. Sometimes that's how it goes you just have to order a bunch of books and go w/ the one that speaks to you.
But yeah that book was great, so good that I ordered the rest of her books, which were not so good and prob why not for sale in the bb bookstore. I learned some neat recipes in that book. But you have to read it very thoroughly and the author doesn't talk enough about sensitization. Don't smear that stuff on your skin like the author suggests. I like Soap Queen's spray perfume recipe. I ruined a bunch of t-shirts after i read that book mixing EOs w/ carrier oil and pouring it on my tshirt instead of cologne, after i became worried about sensitization. The author thinks it's a pretty good idea to mix EOs & carrier oils and rub it directly on the skin to experience the psychotropic effects of each EO on your consciousness itself. The author will tell you how to mix the EOs w/ carrier oil in a 1:1 ratio, no more than 10 or 15 drops EO in carrier oil, then rub that stuff underneath your armpits to get it directly in your bloodstream quick. Then, hit it w/ it w/ a hair dryer
Nah, i'm j/k. No matter what you do, don't do that. B/c it works, but u risk sensitization. SOlution: Put those EOs in a spray bottle w/ some rubbing alcohol, water, preservative, & polysorbate like Soap Queen so graciously gifted us a recipe, to blend all that stuff in an atomized spray bottle, then u r good.
That's what i got from that book.
