Last year I made a batch of ordinary soap....nothing special. My intentions were to try two things. 1 was to frost, as in cupcakes and the other was to use additional soap to "paint" on the bars. lol I never got around to either. Can I still try these ideas on this soap? Will the newer soap "stick" to these older bars? If so, I would imagine another 4-6 weeks to cure? Would it be possible to chunk up these bars and add to "new" soap..like in a loaf pan?

I have chunked up old soap and added it to a new batter, the soap I used was still fairly soft though, I have read that if you are using older soap, to moisten it a bit before you add it?
I am just about to pipe a soap cake, that I made a few months back - I too am not sure if the new piped batter will adhere to it? I am going to score the old soap and spray with alcohol and hope it works! I am not too concerned because I am not going to cut this into slices.
Does anybody know if the soap will stick and not separate when cut, or how to prevent this?
