Is adding Undiluted lye to the base oils something that can be done?

If so...how?
Is there any benefits?
What are the negative aspects?

Do you mean like the lye flakes? if so no you cannot do this you need to dissolve the lye in a liquid first, I forget the science-y explanation but I know it just doesn't work. Hopes this helps and I hope you get some more explanations!!

No. Lye needs water to dissolve.

If I remember correctly, dissolving the lye flakes/beads in a liquid before adding it to the oils helps to disperse the lye more thoroughly throughout the oils. The water helps everything mix together well, allowing more lye to come into contact with more oil, better, which ensures that soap is being made. If you just sprinkle the lye flakes directly into the oils, saponification will not occur as well. There really are no benefits to doing it this way.

That's my understanding of it, anyways.
