Teach Soap

Hi all! I'd like to use my newly acquired Dragonsblood fo in a men's soap but I'm stuck for ideas. I've heard it discolours, and originally thought I'd go for red and black, although I'm not sure how well red would show up against black. I'd also like to use activated charcoal but have only used this once and it didn't turn out well - there were other factors contributing though so I don't know if it was just the charcoal. I've never seen activated charcoal soap other than in pictures, is it grainy? Mine was - and crumbly but as I said, other factors at play....... Can anyone share their experiences with dragonsblood and activated charcoal please? Many thanks, Robyn xox

I have no clue on activated charcoal, but I use black, brown (which is not colored), and gold accents. If you want some red you can leave a part of the batter unscented and color that red or you can do a red mica oil swirl on top!

I used Dragons Blood, and I colour part of the batter red for an ITP swirl. It stands out fine against the dark brown that the rest of the soap becomes.

I used activated charcoal but instead of pitch black soap like I was hoping I got grey soap. Not sure if it is just because I didn't use enough. It didn't completely dissolve and I can see tiny black dots in my soap but it doesn't feel grainy.

I wish I could show you how my dragonsblood soap turned out! I can't seem to upload pics, they're too big and I can't make them smaller. I used black oxide rather than activated charcoal as the base with the fragrance in it, and the modified tiger swirl with a piece of cardboard in a loaf mould. Colours were black for the main colour, with stripes of red, black and a thin stripe of gold mica in a squirt bottle. Covered it with the black, and did a gold mica swirl on the top. I've just cut it and the colours show up amazingly well! Even the veins of gold show up, I'm so thrilled! This fragrance is just gorgeous . Thanks to you all for the help.
