Hi

Am I right in saying that if you use an oil that contains a high amount of Limonene that it is likely to speed up trace in CP Soak making.

Like orange oil? I haven't noticed it, and I use orange EO a lot.

Orange oil contains a-pinene, sabinene, myrcene, limonene, linalool, citronellal and neral. It does have limonene in it. Orange oil slows down trace for me.

Limonene and its oxidated forms are strong skin, eye and respiratory irritants. If you do decide to add it to your soap please research a safe usage amount! Also please be aware that the flash point in 50* C (122* F), you do NOT want to breath this in if it flashes!

D-Limonene is the active ingredient in a solution used in biology labs as a replacement for formaldehyde based solvents. We wear gloves and use ventilation hoods when we use it.

I poured about 6 ounces of EOs in almost 13 lbs of soap the other day. It seems like a lot. But the house sure does smell good.
