I know this is a dumb question, but does palm oil have to be melted and stirred before every use? If I melt my tub, use some and put it away, next time do I have to melt it again or can I just scoop it out? Thanks for your help!

It need to be completely melted and re-stirred every time as it settles as it cools and hardens.

Is palm oil the only oil that this has to be done to?

I am 95% sure that palm is the only one you need to do that to Olivia (thats why I mostly avoid it)

I get my palm oil in 35lb buckets, melt it in the tub, mix it well, then portion it off. I use small disposable glad "tupperware" containers. I portion it into the right sizes for certain recipes: like "Standard recipe, 5lb log mold". I label each one. Then when I go to make soap I just need to grab a container and toss the oil in my melting pot/bowl. No melting mixing and measuring. :mrgreen:
