Hi Folks -

I am looking for your recommendations on coloring a batch that I will do next.

I will be doing a Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Camphor blend as my last soap before moving on to the Spring/Summer aromas.

I would like to have your recommendations on what color(s) to use and any swirling (or other) techniques which you think would be good.

Since Spring has sprung here in the Northern Hemisphere, I do not want to color the soap too darkly, even though it will have a heady aroma.

Also, do these EOs need to be grounded?

Thanks!

Those are very green smells to me, or something in the blue family. Maybe indigo and green clay or other earthy green color?

When I'm stuck on a design idea, particularly if it's centered around an EO or FO, I look for pictures of something related to said EO or FO. Google some pictures of camphor, eucalyptus and peppermint. There are hundreds of species of eucalyptus and their flowers range from cream to bright pinks and reds. The camphor tree also has pretty white-to-yellow blooms that produce clusters of dark berries. It reminds me a bit of an elderberry on steroids. I bet you'll get some pretty swirls using any of those colors with one or more shades of green.
