On the soap I made yesterday, I have noticed that there are very tiny little droplets of liquid on top of the loaf as it is curing in the mold. It is not an epidemic of droplets - a few here and a few there.

I am concerned that this, in some way, may signify a bad batch. (???)

I appreciate in advance your helpfulness.

Those droplets will probably reabsorb soon. Not uncommon. No panic needed.

Here is what I would do. Dampen a finger with water. Slide that finger across the droplets. Then lightly touch that finger to your tongue. Does it zap, taste like soap or does it taste a little sweet?
If it zaps, it's lye and rebatching is your best bet. If it just tastes like soap, I would leave it be. If it tastes a little sweet, it's glycerin and that's ok too.

I am noticing that the droplets are dissipating and are localized on the center most 1/2 of the loaf. :?:
