Some time ago, I saw vegetable storage shelves in a catalog. Being a soaper, what I saw was a soap curing cabinet. Gorgeous.....but too expensive for me. I was just perusing a favorite site, by Ana White, who builds things and posts the plans so that you can duplicate them. Sometimes she shows how to build knock offs of Pottery Barn, or other catalog items. Well, much to my surprise, there was the vegetable cabinet!!! I have no carpentry skills, but I've never let that stop me from trying to build things. Sometimes it works out OK, sometimes not so much. But with actual plans for how it's really supposed to be made, I think even I can put this together. I would make a few changes, like casters on the bottom, and screening material on the trays themselves. I've always wanted more room for curing and I think at some point I will give this a try. If you're handy, or know someone who is, you may want to give this a look. I'm never sure how to post links, so I'm going to put a space in the middle. If that's not right, please let me know. So here it is, the wonderful vegetable/soap cabinet!!!
