I'm having way too much fun and wondering why it took me so long to finally dive in and make some soap. Really, I could just slap myself for being so afraid of the lye for so long.

Finally got my Texas Mountain Laurel soap sorted out and incorporated all the colors that the blooms display throughout their short lives. The fragrance is a blend of grape and lilac and pretty darned close to the real thing. I actually wanted the TD crackle on the top layer because that's what the petals look like just before they fall. Glad it worked!



Next up, Amber and Gold. I LOVE the BB Amber fragrance, but it discolors so I used a different fragrance blend with the lighter soap.



Navajo, with my favorite color of turquoise. I love the desert Southwest and as soon as I got the turquoise mica, I could see the soap in my head. It actually came out the way I imagined it would. Woo hoo!



And last, Victorian Gentleman. The fragrance is a blend of the BB sample Tobacco and Bay Leaf, Sandalwood and citrus. The design was inspired by both the Tobacco and Bay FO and a silk scarf I have that belonged to my great-great grandfather.

I haven't made soap in a very long while(10 years). The soaps here are outstanding! Hopefully mine will be as good as yours someday. But I've got a couple of new ones. The first is an activated charcoal and the second is a banana oatmeal coffee soap.

Lovin' all the soaps featured here. I have been away for a year, and WOW!
