Teach Soap

Apart from the price, is there much difference in these butters when added to CP soap?
I think their sap value is very close?
Has anybody noticed a difference?

Also, is non refined Shea better than refined? Has it got more unsaponifiables in it? (that's a mouthful!)

Unrefined has more unsaponifiables in it. I have used shea butter for years, til I became sensitized to it. Since I can't no longer use it, I now use mango butter.

My main soap suppliers here don't sell Unrefined Shea or Cocoa Butter?
One sells refined Shea for approximately 2 pounds $40, the other for $25
They all say they are organic, sourced from Africa, are there different qualities?
Why don't they sell unrefined?

I found a skincare supply company here that sells 2 pounds unrefined for $20, they sell deodorised Cocoa,
This skin care company only sells unrefined, except for Mango Butter?

For the price I am better of buying unrefined Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter, is this better, worst or it doesn't matter?

I would buy the smallest amount you can and try it out with your recipe. I prefer the refined, as I have had some problems in the past with unrefined.
