Teach Soap

I told my co-worker that I'd make soap favors for her outdoor wedding in June, I'm doing CP since M&P may melt/sweat. It's a beach wedding, so she wants a beach theme favor. I made some seashell molds using mold putty, but I don't have a lot of them, which means I'll have to make the favors in small batches.

My question - I have formulated the recipe for the favors, but I don't want to make a bunch of small batches to pour molds a bunch of times. Is it possible to make my lye water and oils for the whole batch, then store them separately so all I have to do is heat them when I make a batch?

Also, if anyone has any idea on beach theme soap, I am open to new ideas to make it easier. I don't want to spend a lot on new molds that I probably won't use again, I'm doing this for her at a cheaper price because she's a co-worker. She wanted the soap to be a bit bigger than favor size, so her guests can get use out of them, so we decided on about 2oz each.

You could try finding some beach/ocean themed stamps or fondant mats (something like ) you could lay out in the bottom of your mold. You wouldn't need to spend money on specialized molds, and mats or stamps are nice and small so they can be easily stored in case you want them again without getting in your way.

has some great small silicon molds you could use to make embeds/decorations for the top or front of bars, I see a few sea/ocean themed ones just clicking through. They're also small and easy to store, the downside would be having to buy quite a few to get enough embeds (you could get a nice variety, though, and they're pretty cheap).

You could do some seashell shapes and some rectangles/squares with embeds or imprints, so you could do larger batches at a time.

I would make the seashells from low sweat MP and embed them into a CP log or loaf.

The low sweat base doesn't even sweat in ~100*F weather with 98% humidity. I love it!

It's hard to tell in NC what the weather will be at any given time. I've seen it cool and rainy in June, or it might be 100 degrees. Her date is at the end of June, so I'm thinking it'll be pretty hot by then, and humid. I think I might try it though, it will be so time consuming to make all the favors individually. The only problem I've encountered with m/p soap melting was when it was inadvertently left in the sun, it turned to mush.
