I have a customer who uses bar soap on her face (I know, I know...not really a good idea, but I can't talk her out of it). She's shown interest in a bar that I colored using this block from BrambleBerry. I thought I had read somewhere that cosmetic reds shouldn't be used anywhere near your eyes, but I don't see it mentioned here. Does anyone know if this would be safe for her face or should I warn her against using it that way?

Preferably, no color and very little scent should be used on the face, but many people add both color and scent.

Ok, that's what I kinda figured. Thank you. I just wasn't sure if it was like the cream makeup you find around Halloween that specifically says not to use red near your eyes or more of a suggestion that it's not best to use that way. :)

Colorants that say not to use around your eyes are talking about being used in stay on cosmetics, like eye shadow, eye liner, etc. Not wash off products like soap. Also from the ingredients listed for the BB colorant you linked to, I'm not seeing any colors in it that are not FDA approved for use on cosmetics around the eye area. I obviously wouldn't encourage her to use it on her eyes though since it's soap & it will burn.
