Teach Soap

Hello. I just made 100% Lard with a 7% superfat and I ran it through the calculator and measured on a digital scale very accurately but it has been 3 hours and the soap is cold in the mould and very soft almost like the trace stage.

As I mixed it it quickly got to trace after 15 minutes. The colour is good, pure white but it isn't hardening and the leftover scrapings in the bowl also are not.

Should I be worried or should I just give it time? My last soap solidified much quicker.

More info;
Did a 38% water mix with NaOH shavings.
Added a few drops of Lavender soap essence at light trace.
Took about 10 minutes to get to light trace and then bery quickly got thicker.

Used the cold oil method and melted the oil with the hot lye water and stirred it with a whisk.

Ok 5 hrs later it's become consistency of Jello but it is cold and not gelling.

Wait 24 hours. It'll harden up. it take time.

If it didn't gel, it can take up to 3 days to finish saponifying and it will most likely be softer than if it had gone through gel. I would just give it some more time.
