Teach Soap

I made my first soap kit from essential depot last week. The end result was amazing and I ordered supplies to make another batch without using a pre measured kit. I will be making a 5lb loaf of Lavender Oatmeal. I planned on using titanium dioxide to whiten the soap then color with ultramarine violet. My question is how much colorant to add to a carrier oil in a batch that size? Very newb here!

I'm still relatively new to colorants, so someone might come along with better information, but the most common recommendation I've seen is 1/2 tsp pigment mixed in 1 oz of oil or water for each pound of soap. 5 lbs of soap would take 2.5 tsps of pigment and 5 oz of oil or water, but I'm not sure how best to split that between the td and violet so I'll defer to more experienced soapers.

5 lbs. of soap for a newbie is a lot. I would resize that to half its size. Ultramarine Violet tends to go gray on me, so I don't use it.
