Teach Soap

I have quite few smaller (16oz) bottles of FO - mostly from Nature's Garden. As far a I can tell, the bottles feel like HDPE to me... Should I be pouring them into something else for longer term - a few months - storage?

Also - those "metal" bottles from NDA...are those aluminum, SS or just finished plastic that looks like metal?

I would pour those NG fragrances into tinted glass bottles. Those plastic ones degrade into the FO over time.

HDPE will degrade over time. If any of those bottles are beginning to suck inward, the fragrance is leaching into the plastic. Lined aluminum or glass is best. I use PET plastic, but that's due to local earthquakes.

I found a place locally that sells amber PET bottles, as well as glass ones - it is a wine/beer make your own place.
I mentioned it to my husband, who promptly went out to the garage and pulled out 3 boxes of clean, empty green glass beer bottles. They are the kind with that hinged stopper top.

So a good deal got even better!! They had been washed before being stored, but with only a slight smile at my germophobe tendencies, he rewashed them all for me!

I would have preferred amber, but they are stored in a boxes in the basement, so no light hitting them anyway.

I feel a lot better knowing that my FO dollars won't be going to waste!!
