Teach Soap

I stumbled across this thread while casually browsing. I have to admit some of the music options made me giggle. Being that I'm only 20 some of the options seem a bit silly to me but I also listen to The Beatles so what do I know?

But let's inject some modern (90s ish?) music into this thread! I listen to that hard grunge of my time. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Audioslave, etc. most people can't believe I listen to such "angry headbanger music" as my dad calls it. I find it extremely calming since it's what was on radios and tv when I was a kid. It actually helps me think when my creative juices have been squeezed out of my orange brain.

But it actually got me thinking the other day about specific bands and songs. Some of the songs I listen to have symbolism that makes me think of ideas for soap (who know Kurt Cobain would inspire soap decades after his unfortunate passing)! I'd like to use music to make a line of men's scents one day. Wouldn't that be fun!

I usually tune into my cable company's Classic Rock station. (Much better than radio, because there are no commercials. I cannot stand commercials)

It always puts me in a good mood rocking along to artists like Bob Seger, The Clash, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and so on. Good mood = good work.

I usually listen to Indie rock in the kitchen when soaping or cooking.
My husband does most of the cooking/kitchen stuff - so it's my chance to listen to some upbeat different music.

He hates the indie stuff, that's why I soap when he's not around or he's gaming in the office. It's so peaceful when you're by yourself. I can really escape into the task at hand.
When it's his turn in the kitchen --- it's either the Brewing Network (for beer homebrewers) or a tech podcast since he's in IT.

I usually listen to one of my Pandora stations. I have 3 - Classic Rock, Christmas Music, Backstreet Boys. Never a bored moment...

Well, the last time I soaped I listened to Cradle of Filth, Evergreen Terrace, and Gwar. Angry, screamy soap! LOL Was actually a 3 colour gradient scented with berries
