I had wondered that too, but when I checked the number, then voted again, the number didn't change.

I suppose that if someone has settings that clears their cookies/cache and/or cycles IP addresses that would account for multiple votes that stick.

Also I voted from my phone. Different device means a new vote it seems.

I voted. Lots of cute things. Kind of surprised me though that one shop had a nice copyright infringement picture for their entry. A professional team logo on their handmade hat. I don't think I'd enter a contest and put that as my main picture. I wouldn't be surprised if the extra exposure of this contest picks up a bot that eventually gets them a nice cease and desist letter. Oh well, its their problem.
