Love that soap! The colors remind me of our football team! You did a great job with the swirl.

Thank you! I'm so glad you said that, because I actually had the Packers in mind when I chose these colors. (Some friends of mine are HUGE Cheeseheads) Thanks for the compliment on the swirl, too. You've made my day!

Gotta love Brambleberry's Silicone Cube Mold, every soap is unique and lovely and I love ITP swirls.

I scented this soap with NG's Aloe and Cucumber FO, Lime EO and Patchouli EO.

Anna Rose, I really like the green pencil line in the choc mint bar... fits with the theme of it so well. Great job on both.

Irena, I am so impressed that you can be on valentines day already... I tried to work 3 months ahead - no go. This week I am going to do the majority of my Christmas soaps. I like the color- two shades of pink? And I see little hearts in them! Excellent. What scent did you make them ?

Nice pencil line, rosie99!

I love your Valentine's Day soap, soapbuddy. What's it scented with?

Thank you everyone! I was really playing the "mad scientist" again with the EO's and FO's but in this one the result was extraordinary, good thing I wrote it all down! :)

My first attempt. Was supposed to be red, green and white. It is mostly red, and most cuts didn't even have that much white. Second batch turned out similar even after I adjusted somethings so I'm pretty sure I know the problem now.

Image

This is my 3rd batch, I was a tad impatient and I think I soaped too warm + FO's and it traced faster than the first two batches. So it was more like plopping pudding into the mold and lots of air bubbles and whatnot. However it's a lot closer to the color division I wanted, if not all that swirled.

Image

Can anyone see the the speckles though? I'm not sure what the deal is. I was worried it may be lye crystals but it doesn't look like images of that I could find, and the soaps aren't lye heavy. (by pH or zap tests on every one) It didn't just happen to the 3rd batch, some slices from the other batches are a little speckled in the same manner.

The third batch did improve. I like your green color. Did you use TD or powdered goats milk in these batches?
