Naming a business after my cat.

Since I haven't even actually made soap yet, it's more wishful thinking than anything, have to make sure I actually like doing it/have enough passion for it first. Posed the question to my sister though, if I did make a business out of this, what would I name it?

Name it after my cat she said, Ta da. (It's actually pretty clever because of my cat's name, but I'll kept that in my pocket for a while teehee) Plus instant logo.

If my logo was of a cat though, do you think it would mislead people into an initial impression that it was pet soap? Of course I could still name my highly hypothetical future business after my cat and not use her as a logo. But she's so darn cute :lol:

If I named a soap company after my cat and posted the name here, the filters would change the name to Soap Soap. :shock:

I don't think a cat logo would mislead anyone. Lots of companies has pet logos and pet mascots. Taco Bell had Gidget the talking chihuahua as the spokesman/mascot for so many years. Panda Express well... Yeah. I think lots of people tend to use pets for names and logos for the same reasons you stated.

Cats are constantly grooming themselves, so I think that logo makes perfect sense for a soap company.

good points! Thanks guys! I should have my lye on monday! Because BB is behind I ordered it a week ago and it didn't ship until Tuesday and won't get here until monday. It's killing me because I have everything BUT the lye, lol. I'll just have keep telling myself that patience is a virtue :lol:
